Hillary Clinton says conspiracies about her spread by QAnon followers are 'rooted in ancient scapego

scapegoating of women'

Hillary Clinton, the former first lady, senator, secretary of state, and nominee for president, in an interview with The New York Times published Friday addressed the rampant and baseless conspiracy theories about her and her family, including those spread by Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene.

"For me, it does go back to my earliest days in national politics, when it became clear to me that there was a bit of a market in trafficking in the most outlandish accusations and wild stories concerning me, my family, people that we knew, people close to us," Clinton said in an interview with New York Times columnist Michelle Goldberg.

Clinton, who served as secretary of state during President Barack Obama's first term in the White House, said that the attacks against her relying on baseless theories, like ones that allege she belongs to a satanic cult, are part of larger cultural sexism and misogyny.

"This is rooted in ancient scapegoating of women, of doing everything to undermine women in the public arena, women with their own voices, women who speak up against power and the patriarchy," she told The New York Times. "This is a Salem Witch Trials line of argument against independent, outspoken, pushy women. And it began to metastasize around me."

Most of the manufactured Hillary Clinton hate is rooted in deep, dark misogyny, and the male fear of losing control. Woman have been scapegoated for 2000 years, which coincides with the age of the patriarchy. It's time for that page to turn.

I would guess around 6,000 years, but that's just a guess. In any case, it didn't happen all at once either.

Jewish space lasers? Eternal hatred of the Jews, after all, THEY KILLED JESUS!!

Fear of women gaining control? That's pretty damn biblical right there. They need to shut up! and SIT DOWN! Like it says in the babble.

Satanic worshipping? Hmm, wonder where that came from?

All of this has its roots in the bible. Yet again, the ignorance and fear of religion is rearing its ugly, ancient head.

Hillary needs our help. She is so courageous. We take that for granted. We should always speak up when we hear or read of malicious slander hatred against her. When reviewing what she has said and stood for over the years, one is struck by the fact that she has always spoken the truth. If we are to defend the truth today, that must include defending Hillary! Surely history will vindicate her, but for her sake I hope she will be vindicated during her lifetime.

As is the norm for HRC.

Her mention of the Witch Trials is something I recalled last week while reading the absurd allegations from the Qanon True Believers. If you read the transcripts of the early trials, in Salem and/or throughout Europe, the accusations are fevered, overly righteous, misogynistic, driven by a zealots. There are also similarities to the ancient accusations against Jews, the whole Blood Libel canard where Christian babies are kidnapped, killed, their blood used in ritual. All these old hatreds and suspicions have been smooshed together into one poisoned brew that Qanon believers gulp willingly.

The parallels are chilling.

The other chilling aspect is how violence against enemies is excitedly anticipated. Believers want their opponents hanged, beheaded, stabbed, shot, made to suffer for their imagined sins.

Toxic, soul-killing to the last drop.
