For Black History Month, please watch this video on Julia Chinn.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/history/2021/02/07/julia-chinn-slave-wife-vice-president/

She was the common law wife of a Democratic vice president, Richard Johnson. She was a slave.
What caught my attention was the Republicans' use of his biracial marriage and daughters against his run for office. She even ran his plantation while he was in Washington. What an amazing woman who has been denied her place in history.
