Since when did America actually care about "bipartisanship".

America could care less if the Wyoming GOP censures Liz Cheney for voting to impeach Donald Trump. America never cared about that crap. America cares about food, roof, medical care, education, a job, safe food and water, safe bridges and highways yada yada. They hitch up to the candidate or party they think most like to help them get it. If one party seems to have fallen short, they'll vote the other way next time.

The GOP in Washington can whine about "bipartisanship" all they want, like they always do when in the minority. When they can't even handle a difference of opinion within their own little tiny group in Washington DC or within the state party leadership, then there is no chance in hell they'll have anything like an honest negotiation with Democrats for the good of America. It won't happen. Ever.

And America does not give one single damn.

America is exhausted. We want the pudgy boys and Q idiots to go back to the basement and stay there. We want the cops to quit getting themselves on the evening news because they murdered another black person. We want to stop hearing about the tweet of the day. We want to stop worrying about if we'll die of the covid and leave a kids behind. We just want to go see grandma.

If a few Republicans want to come to the table instead of sulk and whine in their rooms fine. But at the end of the day, America hired the Biden Admin to get it done. He's doing it too. Without the Republicans. Tough cheese if Mitch and friends don't like it.

America doesn't care if you do or you don't.

They object to partisanship and prefer bipartisanship only because the former interferes with the government actually solving problems and the latter is usually associated with actually delivering reasonable solutions.

But the goals is a properly functioning government. If bipartisanship helps make that happen, then the people will support bipartisanship. But if seeking bipartisanship interferes with making government work properly, then the people will oppose it.
