(10,167 posts)a third was too close to call in a game like this. The NFL must want Brady to win.

(1,996 posts)Ok, some questionable calls yes. But please tell me how many NFL head coaches would call two timeouts while on defense in the last minute of a half, trailing Tom Brady who has the damn ball on offense??
I'm rooting for the Chiefs, but wow!

(8,700 posts)The rules today hurt defenses more than ever. Rodgers and Wilson could play in the games years ago, but not many today could do it.

(29,642 posts)Ya know, kinda like two weeks ago when Aaron Rodgers did win because they wanted the dimple boy, old man QB to win.

(16,333 posts)they really seem off. I hate seeing the old Patriots crew doing well for Tampa. Ah well, there is always the Puppy Bowl...

(1,202 posts)I'm a Browns fan and they got jobbed on a terrible no call against the Chiefs, but I have to agree with you. The calls are bad in this game.
nightwing1240
(1,996 posts)...very poor strategy by Andy Reid though, two timeouts before half without the ball on offense? I'll keep Stefanski!
BeerBarrelPolka
(1,202 posts)Yes on both points. Stefanski being coach of the year is the correct choice.

(16,154 posts)Here in SW Florida. Tired of getting the old man jammed down our throats here. I wish it had been a better game. We can now hear all about Brady celebrating on his new million dollar boat he bought from his stimulus check.

(16,165 posts)the Bucs defense will take over the game. It might go to high scoring, 43 - 38 but the D is goint to pin it's ears back and kick some butt.
Not that I'm a Buc fan or anything like that.

And Im rooting for the Chiefs.
The OLD man? How old are YOU?
Im no Brady fan, but Im gonna bet that old man could run rings around you lol.
Ageist much?

(6,843 posts)Grabbing, holding, etc. Games not getting called like that today and they cant adjust

(25,514 posts)Its obvious: hes the Superstar headed for GOAT status possibly permanently, at least for 30 years or more.
You notice, parenthetically of course, that no commentator who ever mentions Brady or his wife when they discuss his perfect life, that she was with Leonardo DiCaprio for over five years before Tommy. Just saying....
And yes, thats petty, but so was that POS Brady when he left the field a loser without congratulating Foles and the Eagles 🦅 for their magnificent win a few years ago.

(8,700 posts)Because the rules are slanted pretty bad for offenses today. Yeah Brady could be in the top 15 of QBs. There's no way in hell he would survive in the games years ago. I mean today a defense has to be careful anywhere near a QB.

(34,195 posts)They are defeating themselves with all their penalties.
And you can't blame it on the referees.
Holding penalties and personal fouls?
They get paid millions of dollars and they're playing like junior high school kids.
That said,. They have come back in the past during the second half to win.
Fingers crossed!

(8,700 posts)You can't blame them. The corruption of the refs will allow the Bucs receivers to get more open.
cwydro
(51,308 posts)The excuses Im reading are hilarious.
And I cant stand Brady.
rockfordfile
(8,700 posts)That kind of corrupt calls screws with a teams mind. Don't need any excuses. I think it's about being consistent. The Green Bay game is example.
Now all the Bucs have to do is play downhill.
cwydro
(51,308 posts)Chiefs are getting killed, and theyre aiding and abetting their own loss.
Maybe theyll pull it together.
rockfordfile
(8,700 posts)It can happen in a basketball game. Refs could call fouls on a team for playing tough defense, but the other team swipes at the ball and fouls the hell out of the player doesn't get any calls.
Once the refs put the mind set in a team like that it's tough to get out of it because they know the refs will just do the same thing again.
That first half the refs were corrupt. They were like that in the Green Bay game.
cwydro
(51,308 posts)This is ringing a memory bell somewhere...
nightwing1240
(1,996 posts)..to HOLD the receivers on the other team during a pass play, those will get called everytime when seen and it doesnt matter the city or teams playing
rockfordfile
(8,700 posts)The "holding call" in the first half that gave the Bucs a first wasn't holding. It seems there are brady fans making excuses for the refs.

(51,308 posts)Even when my teams lose, I try not to blame it on the refs.
This score is not because of bad officiating
MerryBlooms
(11,761 posts)If you are sloppy and then let your emotions get out of control, the refs will watch you more closely. Stop making mistakes and get emotions under control. Coaching was a major factor.

(1,996 posts)Bucs were determined to not allow Tyreek Hill to go off on them like the first time they played this season. Guess Reid and staff forgot they had other amazing weapons at their disposal to make plays; Hellaire-Smith, Kelce, Sammy Watkins and of course Pat Mahomes
Bad coaching is what's to blame, period

(90,323 posts)... passes because there was NO long set up plays
rockfordfile
(8,700 posts)The Sporting News- "The Buccaneers quarterback sidestepped the topic on Monday when a reporter asked if Brady had gotten a pass for his support of Trump because he is a white athlete." Brady pulled a trump response, "I'm not sure how to respond to (a) hypothetical like that," answered Brady."

(6,390 posts)Such as the Chiefs player tripping and barely touched the receiver...who then sells it like a Futbol (soccer) player who got slightly touched and acts like he had collision with a train.
This is why I prefer hockey.
