What a great day... we got 6 inches of "aesthetic" snow last night (woke up to it this morning)

made a nice apple cinnamon Dutch Baby for breakfast - then we headed for DuPont forest with our two big dogs for a picture perfect 4 mile hike... started to plan my 2021 garden, had dinner, watched some of the Great British Bake Off on Netflix - and noted it is Valentine Heart time! I continued my COVID induced decision to stop paying attention to sports - instead finished reading Mrs Dalloway to my wife - now I am listening to ambient music and answering emails.

A perfect socially distanced Sunday. THANKS DU friends for the hearts!!!

(bonus for the day - my wife made chocolate chunk walnut brownies - Smitten Kitchen recipe - for our dessert!).

They pick us not the other way around. Oscar is around 15 and was a foster fail. He adopted us when he was 2. Dolby was a rescue we got almost a year ago. His previous owner had died and he needed a new home. I forgot to mention it in my previous post but that desert that your spouse made sounds heavenly.

(except when she jumps over the fence to chase squirrels).

The two big boys just adore her and vice versa - and she makes a great hot water bottle in bed!

He has several little dogs which are white, I wonder how they like the snow.

I haven’t had Dutch Baby in forever. My Grandma used to make one for breakfast when we came to visit and it was always a treat.

We had about 4” of snow when I got up and it was beautiful! Every limb and twig was draped in snow. Gorgeous! I had to be at work at 10 and the drive was so enjoyable. My road hadn’t been plowed yet, it was still snowing giant flakes, no cars were out, and the woods looked simply breathtaking. I drank my coffee, listened to my music, and slow-rolled at about 30mph the whole 8 mile trip out to the highway. It felt like I was the only person on Earth (in a good way!)
Only had to use the 4WD in two spots, and that’s always fun.
