Advice: go easy on yourself. Follow your doctor's advice. Do some walking for the exercise. A 5 pound lifting limit meant that I couldn't go grocery shopping alone or take out the garbage.

Try not to laugh. It strains the tender areas.

When you go back to have the staples removed, some will be a breeze. Others will hurt.

I hope your surgery and recovery go smoothly.

Most of DU and many in the US will be watching day one of this second impeachment, and will be on edge. And at the other end of that spectrum, you will be in a peaceful, protected bubble, happily buzzed during and after your successful surgery, untouched or unfazed by the proceedings in DC.

You will probably be buzzed on painkillers for days as you heal from the surgery. Trying to look on the bright side. You can watch the reruns when you're up to it. Check in at DU to let us know how you're doing.
