ICE Ignores Biden Order and Deports 22 Children and Babies to Haiti, Says Report

Last week, the Biden administration reportedly ordered the suspension of deportation flights to Haiti in an attempt to assert its control over Immigration and Customs Enforcement. However, that effort appears to have failed. According to The Guardian, at least 72 people were deported to Haiti from the United States on Monday, including a two-month-old baby and 21 other children. Two flights were reportedly chartered by ICE to take people from Laredo, Texas, to the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince. The flights have angered immigration-rights activists, who had hoped for a kinder approach after Donald Trump left the White House last month. “It is unconscionable for us as a country to continue with the same draconian, cruel policies that were pursued by the Trump administration,” said Guerline Jozef, executive director of the Haitian Bridge Alliance. “I don’t know what’s going on between ICE and the Biden administration, but we know what needs to be done: The deportations must stop.” Haiti is in a state of political chaos after an alleged coup attempt has again roiled the hemisphere’s poorest country.

5. Or transfer them

If the people who gave the order like warm weather and big city lights, transfer them to some rural clime with sub-zero winter temperatures.

I understand that northern North Dakota is anything but tropical right now. Let them busy themselves coping with snow drifts and glaring at Canadians straying too close to the dividing-line.

Transfer top level leadership at every location to new offices.... in the absolute middle of nowhere. Slow walk getting everything needed to have an actual functioning office and I mean everything from internet service to toilet paper. The military is gifted at “quarantining” problem people I’m sure there are some vets who would be happy to help handle the situation.

embedded in the department all must be fired. This is not right at all.

AKA the debris Trump left behind.

It'll take a few months (at least) to excise this cancer from our government. Give Joe a scalpel and let's get it on.

..that's still at the discretion of the agency.

The court doesn't have some separate means deport to anyone, no budget for that, no real authority or ability to actually put anyone on a plane. That responsibility lies with the government agency, which ultimately answers to the president.

The Director of ICE is appointed at the sub-cabinet level by the President of the United States, confirmed by the U.S. Senate, and reports directly to the Secretary of Homeland Security.

It happened to Trump many times and we cheered.

An example:

...it's one thing to halt a deportation, or stop people from entering the U.S., it's quite another to order an agency of the president to put someone on a plane in contradiction to the wishes of the WH.

Think about the constitutional implications, not to mention the logistics.

Just the other night was the scene where an ICE officer denied the american wife of the canadian woman travel to Canada due to their marriage license no longer being valid.

Watching this series now is freaking me out.
