Not Since The Moon Landing...

...will millions of Americans be riveted to their televisions. In just a few hours, Impeachment II (Son Of Schmilsson!) will air (Live!), and it will be (and become) the highest rated show evah! No wonder they waited until after the Super Bowl.

Coming to a streaming service near you, the Mini Series, the Movie (and subsequent Universe), my gOD the Marketing! I see a lot of dollar signs floating in many eyes (looking at you DNC Chair Jamie Harrison).

The Horror...The Horror!

And though both were during the Nixon admin, Watergate was later.

You can't seriously expect us to believe that really happened? Just yesterday I was talking to Bill Clinton's body double and we laughed at the gullibility of some people.

...in today's Good Gnus Roundup on DailyKos; you'll find it in WineRev's History Lesson:

Good morning Gnus in Gnuville and our scribe of the day, NotNowNotEver. Slept in this morning as you can tell, so haven’t had much chance to scan the overnight news here on Impeachment II (The Trial). (Fans were really disappointed in the writers in Impeachment I, when the whole thing seemed to be building to a public trial, and then, apparently, the studio ran short on money and told them to cut the ending.)

Well there have been rumors that Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg have been brought in for this re-make, so yes, there will be trial in this one (which is why the whole Impeachment section was crammed down to a run time of a few days on film, rather than the months in the original.) Will they coax John Williams out of retirement for the musical score? Call up Howard Shore? Maybe a Mile Post, “Law & Order” sort of gavel-banging snappy main theme? We will see, starting mid day today.
