I just had major surgery a week ago today and I'm physically restricted to a recliner, so it's like what else am I going to do? Watch a rerun of the last super bowl? I'd much rather be out doing something constructive.

A constitutional lawyer her aint. They seem to all be civil and criminal defense lawyers.

What the hell was all that about voters being smart enough to chose to change ... this is about a former president inciting a riot in order to deny the will of the voters and his refusal to accept the election results.

Was I hearing Mr. "Just a small town Pennsylvania DA" Castor subtly threaten Senators with Trump's constituency in red states. He went on for a good five or ten minutes on how Senator Sasse was facing trouble in Nebraska because of his recent stances.
Then he went on with how the Democrats were obviously still afraid of T****?

He was trying to say use of impeachment is willy-nilly. Instead, given the number of calls for impeachment over the four years of the term, the fact it only actually happened twice shows a lot of restraint.

He said the articles of impeachment were rushed because there were no hearing and no witnesses. But seems to also be talking about witnesses in general being required for fairness. Obviously, he wasn't part of the team at the 1st impeachment where no witnesses were allowed by the Senate!

That isn’t what the Constitution allows for, so they need to get over it.

If mcconnell hadn’t recessed the Senate until January 19th, the Constitutional remedies for dealing with a pResident that pumped-up and directed violent mobs to the Capitol might have satisfied his artificial requirements. If this was a court of law and I was a lawyer, I’d argue his requirements are unreasonable for starters. I mean, just because he lost his job does not mean he didn’t commit the acts being alleged or shouldn’t be held to account for them.
