The disgraced 45 trumped himself. He is where he put himself.
Disgraced 45's own malfeasance cost him a 2nd term. His bungling of the Covid-19 crisis fully did him in. The GQP is fine with his corruption, so that isn't what cost him the election.
Why he expected to win:
1. all the plans were made to steal a 2nd term with much of what was used to pull in front of Hillary Clinton, but even more so.
2. Disgraced 45 had been in campaign mode since day one--when not golfing.
3. The misinformation campaign was working and the country was widely divided. All truth was fake news and his base was becoming more and more rabid.
4. Disgraced 45 had tight control of the GQP Party--now his party. Compromised, threatened, or willing--we will find out.
5. Disgraced 45 had right-wing judges appointed everywhere--including 3 to the Supreme Court.
6. Disgraced 45 had cleared out whole agencies and departments and placed ass-kissers within.
7. Disgraced 45 had cut himself loose from expectations and standards on the international stage, not just at home. No-one would have been surprised if he managed to hang on going forward and most of our friends dreaded the possibility.
8. He, and his lackey DeJoy monkey-wrenched our postal service.
9. He primed his cult-followers to not trust the polls or the election and had already begun violent confrontations, especially against BLM, but also other protests and marches.
10. He took credit for everything good and blamed others for everything bad. He was all set to run on the economy.
And then the Corona-virus pandemic knocked his plans all to hell. Thanks to the pandemic we saw the economy tank and the media coverage was hard for disgraced 45 to knock down. He lied about his response, about the preparations his predecessor had made, about the pandemic itself, and then tried to take credit for vaccines that were to come. People were (and still are) dying and suffering in huge numbers and became impossible to sweep under the rug. States expanded early and mail-in voting because of the dangers. Democrats confronted the disaster, and 45's malfeasance head-on.
Even with his pet-flying-monkey-DeJoy destroying sorting machines and deliberately slowing the mail he could not stop the outrage and the voting response.
If it hadn't been for the corona-virus pandemic he very well might have stolen the election.

It proves there is good in the world. 
The Traitor's response to the Virus.. calling it a "..democrat hoax.. " for 70 days & mocking the severity of it by doing everything possible to make it worse is a huge part of his crumbled attempt at a second Hell Hole term.

Millions of missing dollars and no accounting just for starters, but where did the ventilators go? Seems to me there were a few hundred million worth of them that 'disappeared'.
