Let him get a real trial. With rules. With evidence. In criminal court.
With sentencing.

(21,611 posts)that I'd like to see, but don't know if it is possible. Even if possible, it seems unlikely to me that it would happen. But, if the Senate refuses to convict him, could he face a criminal trial, on the same charges of inciting a riot?
After all, even when people are acqitted in a criminal trial, they can be sued in a civil trial. So if someone is acquitted in a political trial, why not hold a criminal trial?

(302 posts)So didn't the ND Senator(R). Both said it today when asked "If not impeachment, how should he be held accountable.?"
I say let's take em up on that.

Hello dumbass, now you're stuck with the A or rookie league lawyer crew. What the heck did you expect after burning all your bridges with the upper league lawyers? Maybe you should have been listening to those lawyers and heeding their advice, rather than looking for sycophants to parrot your fantasies. The client is supposed to be taking legal advice from the lawyer(s) they hire, not the other way round as you seem to insist they do.
You may skate on the impeachment trial once again, because the fix is apparently in, but if any of this stuff ever comes to actual criminal legal proceedings, because you've alienated any decent lawyer you've come near with your games, you're potentially cooking your own goose.
