Have any of you suddenly discover something about yourself that you never realized?

I have used rakes a lot in my life. I was recently raking leaves at my home and realized that all my life, I have naturally raked left handed. I never realized that until that moment. I am right handed with a dominant right handed tendency, but if I try to rake from the right, I can only do so weakly and for less than a minute.

I know that it is simple-minded, but have you ever had a revelation about something that you do naturally, but based upon your overall makeup, should do another way?

when my manager said I was like her and had to have things lined up straight on my bed. I said "na, I think it just happened to get straight this time. Well, after about a week later I realized she is right. It's those little things that we do that kinda of escapes us.

...when I was young enough to do cartwheels, many decades ago, I always went to the left. I am strongly right handed, but could never do them to the right. Even now, at age 69, I can recall the sensation of doing cartwheels to the left. If I try to imagine doing them in the opposite direction, I can’t.

When I get up from a seated position, I start walking with my left foot.

We have kept a small group in our family and I've been thrilled they can't go anywhere but here. We get together once or twice a week. That's all I need.

Pathetic.

I know that I am perfectly ok with being alone or with tiny groups. But I never considered myself introverted, maybe.

If you're an introvert, you are. It's not like you get to pick. Also, as an introvert, your mentally better equipped to deal with the social isolation caused by the pandemic. That's an advantage, not something to be disparaged!

Explained a lot about my problems in school. I had dropped out of college with terrible grades. Shrink told me if I went back to college and sat in the front row I’d do great. I did and graduated magna cum laude years later.
