Biden is giving the boot to all Trump-appointed US attorneys

President Joe Biden will begin removing all Senate-confirmed U.S. attorneys who were appointed by former President Trump during his tenure, CNN reports.

There are two notable exceptions to Biden’s purge, namely John Durham, who will continue to investigate the origins of the Russia probe, but not as U.S. attorney for the district of Connecticut, according to an official speaking to CNN. The other is Delaware US Attorney David Weiss, who is overseeing the tax probe of Biden’s son, Hunter.

In total, 56 Senate-confirmed US attorneys appointed by Trump will get the boot.

As CNN points out, Democratic Illinois Sens. Tammy Duckworth and Dick Durbin expressed their disappointment on Tuesday that Biden did not consult with them about terminating US Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch.

Duckworth and Durbin want him kept on until these cases are concluded. "It would be better to finish these three cases and any related cases that are in the pipeline because we would know we have the same team continuing the prosecution." These cases include a bribery cases in which former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan and former President of the Chicago City Council, among others, are implicated.

3. I saw on local news that David DeVillers

Is stepping down. I was shocked to find out he’s a dump appointee. He’s the one that went after totally corrupt Larry Householder here in Ohio. Not that I know much about him but he seemed to be a sincere, go get ‘em kind of guy when I watched his press conferences on tv. Maybe not all bad despite the dump connection.
