I could not put "my senator" after name.
I just sent her an email saying that I had read that during the trial yesterday, she was reading a book. I clarified that if this were true (and I believe that it is), she needs to be replaced for not doing the job for which she is paid. And a few other comments.
It will be interesting to see the form letter that responds to it.

(33,081 posts)Many of them were doing anything but paying attention to the trial. This is massively disrespectful.
They cannot face the truth about what they have become. They have to look away.
We need to publicize every bit of it.

(19,404 posts).... cross word puzzles or reading Gone With the Wind during important deliberations.
The just off the chambers smoking room should also have cameras.
We do not have them on the government payroll so they can just fuck off their time away and twiddle their fascist thumbs. They get compensated handsomely with gold plan bennies.

(41,017 posts)She is one of the most odious members there. Anyone who sits there and reads a book during this trial should be called out by name and humiliated. I really wish theyd do that.
I think Ohio wins the prize for most odious Representative since we inflicted Jordan on the country.

(54,837 posts)years he would run for the Senate when he was 50 (he is 53 now). He turned down another open seat run 2020.
I really think McGraw could have taken Blackburn down with the Blue Wave of 2018 at his back. Bredesen was a disaster, he ran one of the worst campaigns of any Dem Senate candidate, including saying he would have voted to confirm drunk-rapey Kavanaugh, which just blew out our base right there.

(18,486 posts)so that she's no longer the dumbest person in the Senate.
She's not only stupid, she's that annoying kind of stupid person who thinks they're the smartest person in the room.
feel your pain. She is a Senator form my state as well. Along with that other nincompoop Haggerty. We are represented by the reprehensible.

(11,046 posts)stand back and look at the difference between both parties. I suspect that Senators like Blackburn, Tuberville, Ernst, and some of others would really drag down the Republican score.

Be sure to post an update.

(833 posts)and felt like I was pissing into the wind. But I needed to do it, anyway. I've received no response from either one. Previously, I phoned Lamar Alexander several times. He did send me boilerplate, bs emails. He was in McConnell's pocket. I hope Stacey Abram's voter registration program comes to Tennessee as she has exported it to Texas.

I live in Lamar Alexander's home county. I made his personal.
