Another rich, "entitled" asshole.
Bruce Springsteen faces drunken driving charge in New Jersey
HIGHLANDS, N.J. (AP) Bruce Springsteen is facing a drunken driving charge in New Jersey.
Springsteen was arrested Nov. 14 in a part of the Gateway National Recreation Area on the New Jersey coast, a spokesperson for the National Park Service confirmed Wednesday.
The park is on a narrow, beach-ringed peninsula, with views across a bay to New York City. It is about 15 miles north of Asbury Park, New Jersey, where Springsteen got his start as a musician and bandleader and later made famous with his debut album, Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.
Springsteen received citations for driving while under the influence, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area. The spokesperson said Springsteen was cooperative.

Edit:
So...
"He's one of OUR guys, so he gets a pass."
If the DUI driver was Kid Rock or James Woods, he'd be condemned to hell.
But since he's on "OUR side," he gets a mulligan?
No doubt if this is his first, (and it sound like it is,) he'll get a fine and his driver's license will be suspended for a month or so.
Here in Sheboygan it's 3 month suspension and a $700 fine for 1rst DUI.
I have a legitimate grudge against drunk drivers, as I said.

(113,971 posts)So, while I don't condone is DUI, how does that make him an "asshole?" Much less an "entitled" asshole?

Yes, I do have a major-league grudge against drunk drivers, 3 of my family were injured and almost killed by a rich lawyer, who was driving drunk.
Who in subsequent court proceedings, pulled just about any and every trick possible to get away with it, including blaming my relatives for the accident, that clearly he had caused, running a red light and T-boning my relatives' car.
There no longer is any excuse for drunk driving.
Rich or poor, no more excuses.

(113,971 posts)has done nothing to avoid the consequences. SO, if you are making the case that he is an entitled asshole, it falls to YOU to show where and what he has done to avoid facing the very real consequences of his irresponsible behavior. Otherwise, he is no different from any other person-- rich celebrity or poorest of the poor-- who makes a similar serious mistake.

(12,046 posts)He obviously made a mistake, but he has supported Democrats and the causes that matter to us for many years. He not entitled nor an asshole. If you fail to realize that then you should pay attention.

(2,549 posts)A Trump would threaten to sue or harm a police officer who stopped him/her for a DUI. A Democrat owns up to his/her mistakes; this is called personal responsibility, which many Republicans dont have.

We use Island Beach all the time. Nice place. It's too bad that we're going to convert the coast into an industrial park for wind turbines though.

(30,469 posts)He's around 70 years. old and this is the first I've heard of any legal issues on his part -- He certainly does NOT have anything like a "record" of bad behavior..He not only supports Biden, but he's been an outspoken democrat since the Reagan Administration.

(47,245 posts)Don't forget also, all those who drove drunk a number of times before getting busted.
I just have no sympathy for anyone driving drunk.

(71,542 posts)Years ago. And I would bet some-here shocked and harshly judgmental in this matter have driven home and could have gotten a DUI but didnt get caught.

It's not a matter of "sympathy", it's a matter of restraining the impulse to judge and demonize.

EVERYONE should know better than to drink and drive. But he's human like the rest of us.

(969 posts)They usually get processed and have to pay a bond to get out ... All the videos ive seen once you pop .08 or u fail street test or refuse to take test ...it a trip in squad car and vehicle impounded. I am a Fan of his also but some are correct we all make mistakes but did he get special privilege sure sounds like it almost all DUI suspects get that $10k cost of DUI...
