I'm not watching, but ran an errand and heard a bit of the testimony - it sounds like the Dems are doing well. I will catch up on things after dinner here on DU, and watch PBS Newshour and BBC World News during our dinner.

This is what I can't understand. THE BIG LIE. It's a lie. trump knows he lost. The 140 plus congressfolks who propagated the big lie knows he lost. They are lying for pure political gain. Their continued lies continue to inflame the cult - and the cult was responsible, largely, for what the DOING of January 6.

And so - are the media hounding and asking every single day every one of those BIG LIE politicians if they still think the election was stolen? And if they say yes, asking where the evidence is? And telling them their continued spouting of the BIG LIE prevents any sort of unity and maintains future possibilities of violence - because propaganda??

And how can ANY of the BIG LIE politicians take part in this. Since they are propagating the BIG LIE that led to this, they can't stand in judgement of it - they are a big part of it.

And THAT is what I simply can't wrap my head around.

1. From what I've seen, they're punting and basically saying that they're "concerned about the

integrity of our elections because so many people have questions." Now, THAT'S a lie because the only source of the "questions" was Donald J Trump so they're perpetuating The Big Lie in a very underhanded and cynical way.

politician says "see!? even they think it was stolen"

That anyone falls for this is beyond the pale. They are all criminal. Every fucking one of the Big Lie politicians should be tossed out of office.

... how can you live with yourself? knowing your words encouraged folks to attempt harm to your co-workers???...
... why don't you understand that YOU could have been, or may in the future be the target???...
... what part is missing in your mental process??? ....
... sigh ....

I'm old. I don't know if I'll live long enough to see this resolved; but I hope there's a special circle in hell for them.
