I'm glad my parents are not alive to see this. These are deplorables, mostly white, all full of hate. Claire still has those feelings of collegiality after all this time. No wonder she's overcome with sadness and anger. I am too.

And Claire (although too moderate for me) was still a powerful voice for the Dems and being defeated by that little maggot, Hawley?

(30,058 posts)Didn't help her race. They saw her as vulnerable and wrote her off. My daughter worked on her 2018 campaign and she said it was obvious.

(41,635 posts)At first I didn't like her on MSNBC, and I couldn't see why they had her on so much. But she has gotten much better, and her comments are sometimes poignant, like today. I'm sorry she's not still in the Senate, but I'm glad she has a job on MSNBC now.
