(29,336 posts)but I'm beginning to wish the mob had gotten their hands on Graham, Cruz, Hawley, or Rubio. Those smug SOBs sit there making a big deal of ignoring the evidence and thinking the insurrectionists were their friends. They aren't smart enough to afraid of a mob in a frenzy.

(8,601 posts)They believe that power belongs to those willing to take it by any means available and willing to use it to perpetuate that power. They may be in Trump's shadow for now but they can't wait to try it on for themselves.

(4,590 posts)As it is in many states. It seems to be the nature of the beast anymore, unfortunately. We have to get money out of politics. It's the main cause of the problem.

(7,864 posts)There are more than 500 members of both houses of Congress. You can't count on every one of the hundreds of rabid rioters to recognize every member.
I think that could be the quote of the day for some of the rethugs whose lips aren't that tightly sealed to the orange ass.

(25,904 posts)However, the mob did know what their "enemies" looked like. I think they might have known a few of their most prominent friends, which is who we're talking about.

(2,753 posts)I did see the video of insurrectionists in the Senate chamber looking at the ledger and saying that ABOUT him, though one of the yahoos was confused on that point. But he was in hiding at that time.
Misinformation spreads like a virus, so I like to make sure when possible.
I will gladly admit if I was wrong, though.

(2,355 posts)Most of the violence, IMO, was caused by anti-govt people. tRump just gave them permission to act.

(8,601 posts)He clearly wanted congress to succumb to the crowd he sent there. Hence the delays built into the commands withholding the national guard and the way that was arranged, including the direct orders regarding how they were to be equipped, and distributed.
