In a lifetime of watching politicians, many of whom were hypocritical, lying, and/or corrupt, I must say that absolutely no politician has revolted me as much as Lindsay Graham does. At one time, Orrin Hatch was my clear winner but hes been eclipsed.
Trump does not qualify as a politician: hes a psychopathic war criminal.

(3,818 posts)Hes revolting; makes my skin crawl when I see or hear him. Unctuous is the word that comes to mind.

(16,606 posts)Graham is a disgusting, two-faced pos, but there's something viscerally repellent about Cruz that makes him uniquely repugnant to me. Graham is a very, very bad man, but Cruz is like something that just slimed its way out pf a sewer and still has the contents of that sewer clinging to it. *shudder*

For anyone else who doesn't know that word, here's what it means, according to Google: "a face in need of a fist."
Still cackling to myself here.

(25,989 posts)I should have included the definition. I'm glad you looked it up and laughed. It does fit him! 😄

(8,933 posts)many bad choices for lifetime most horrible politician to choose just one when so many in the current Republican party make me want to puke.
But Graham has certainly been lobbying hard to get there. Hes really checking a lot of boxes these days.

(1,402 posts)I have a whole list of traitors and everyone that was mentioned here is on my list - plus Lauren Boebert, Stephen Miller, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Matt Gaetz, and Rob Portmen. I included these slugs on my list along with Josh Hawley, Mitch McConnell, Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham!! This is my list so far and I'm sure there will be more to be added to my list.

(16,606 posts)When I lived in NC in the 80s, there were people (including some good friends of mine) driving around with bumper stickers that said, "I'm from North Carolina, and I DON'T support Jesse Helms!" That's how bad he was.

(90,956 posts)Lindsay, though...with his refined sensibilities and his faux vapors, is in a category of his own. To avoid trouble here I generally refer to him as a spineless limp worm.
Speaking of the worm family, every time Ive ever seen Ted Cruz Ive been reminded of a slug, and I just want to grab my salt-shaker.

(6,017 posts)Two years into President Obama's first term, McConnell vowed to obstruct everything he could. Then after the 2010 Census he began helping enact project redmap, a massive redistricting effort using census data to carefully calculate where lines needed to be drawn. To make it happen, the GOP dumped massive amounts of outside money into local & state races that had never seen such funding; Dems didn't stand a chance. From there, McConnell blocked hearings for everything from Federal Judges to the USPS board so that the next GOP President could fill them. Along the way, McConnell enabled the building of the party platforms that merged Christian zealots, the Tea Party, and others into the GOP. This whole time, McConnell's rules were simple: change the rules to whatever gave the GOP more power. He built Trump's Resurrection, then when it failed he slunk away, turned around and pretended to object to what happened. But make no mistake, if Trump is acquitted McConnell will assist his return to power. Oh, did I forget personal grift? He wouldn't be a good Republican without it.
