will have a real clean up job on his hands. With the potential of 2-3 thousand Coup participants Standing in the Dock of Justice. Prosecutors as well as Investigators and Grand Juries will need to be addressed in short order. Hoping a Special Commission is organized to bring all of these Unedited Co-conspirators to Justice.

Conversation with a good friend yesterday and we were talking about that. The whole year should prove interesting and reveal a lot of stuff. Cleanup in aisle 45 is a big job but the the real pros are coming so I think we'll do okay if we keep at it.

I expect the sleazy shit stain of a human being (is he really human?) will pummel Garland with all sorts of questions and demands aimed at excusing, overlooking, ignoring, defending the orange pissolini and his proud boys-Boogaloo mob that attacked the Capitol.

Insisting that he should recuse himself of any investigations etc etc etc.

I can just hear that asshole doing to that during Confirmation, probably going hannity drumming protest against Garland's confirmation.

I can just see and hear it.

Second, Democrats control the Senate. There is absolutely no way any Democrats will defect from confirming Garland. Graham is powerless and can be blown off at any time if need be.

But I also say that Lindsey Graham is so evil and slimy and is complicit in the crimes of Jan 6th. The effort to play down the significance of the Trial, to go on tv ans say that he is offended by the trial as well as a "waste of time" indicates he is fearful of criminal implications the way I see it. His fear of his own criminal involvement on the attack of Jan 6th, is a powerful motivating factor to cause a great deal of mayhem around that hearing and his ultimate confirmation.

I think he'll lob all kinds of accusatory questions such as, is Garland bitter about not getting a confirmation for SCOTUS and he'll even pull some bullshit as evidence for such claims. Dollars to Donuts that's that Lying Lint-seed will do.

My hope is that Durbin will shut anything like that down, but I don't see Durbin being able to manage beyond a few stern words.

My secret fantasy hope is that since the confirmation is being put off until the 22nd, that the current acting Atty General will indict him as a co-conspirator, being tied to the meeting with Proud Boys and other Senators on Jan 5th and thereby disqualifies Graham from sitting on Judiciary. The evidence of Grahams connection to that meeting was published by none other than Graham with his arm in arm selfie on twitter .. I'd love to see his ass hauled in for questioning at the very least.

But not only is he now totally powerless, he has become a self parody. His words carry neither weight nor sting, it is just more of the same blah, blah, blah. Those who love Graham will continue to eat it up, but they are lost already and would never look either favorably or fairly upon Garland as Attorney General. Once Garland is confirmed he will hold the full powers of that office, powers that he will not abuse. But it is not an abuse of power to hold those guilty of criminal behavior accountable for their crimes.

except I think there is a certain level of power being a strong voice for Fox viewers who give Graham favorable polling enough to suggest he still enjoys a certain level of power, able to incite his viewers as he brainwashes them. And he will until he's legally held into account. Which I hope begins to happen before Garland's confirmation so that there the "partisan" bs can't be given credibility so easily. Probably would be used anyway. It's not a "stand" i'm taking, I'm just thinking out loud about some concerns I have wrt to LG's position on the Judiciary committee.

the evidence presented will make it a difficult decision for Garland to investiage Trump or not. Katyal said there was good evidence that Trump was much more actively involved than just not doing anything to stop the rioters after he set them upon the Capitol complex.
