1. All the details on who led/authorized the January 5th tour of Capitol? Or was this tangential to trump?

2. Why wasn't National Guard deployed before insurrection?

And not alienate the senate members who were aiding and abetting.

They did talk about how long it took Trump to authorize help.
He was too busy enjoying the mob show and trying to get senators to stop the EC certification.

They did talk a little about his lack of concern in terms of helping the besieged Capitol.
Maybe they will cover the NG issue tomorrow.
Today was so stunning, hard to imagine what tomorrow will bring.
But it will probably be stunning as well.

"let's march down to Capitol" were. Let's just say he was 100% innocent... And was just having a regular ole hate rally...he would not have said that.

I think what really happened was that he knew there was an element of people who were going to violently storm in. He sent his masses down there for cover. To hide what this smaller group was doing?

Tuberville was in that meeting on Jan 6 right? Thought I read yesterday that he's pissed at trump now.

Or tase and kidnap?

Some are saying that if Pence was killed, then Trump could appoint a new VP who would do his bidding and stop the EC certification.

there. Maybe someone arrested now will be squeezed enough to divulge the plan. Yikes what about the hangman's gallow. Surely someone would have shot them before they marched pence to that!!

I do not believe in coincidences. And there's just too many here. No NG, meeting the night before, hate groups invited, him telling them to go to Capitol, him saying he was going then chickening out, permit mysteriously changing, tour of Capital the day before, someone actually bringing the gallows? ( Who just happens to have that in a garage and on the ready?)

But as you pointed out a risky way to kill Pence.

Exactly, all the evidence points to a concerted, co-ordinated and well planned violent event.
There are pics of the some of the guys at the insurrection with printed t-shirts showing the date
of the insurrection. Those had to be made beforehand.

I also hope that some of those arrested with start coughing up the truth about what happened.

But if placed under oath I would think at least one person would tell the truth.

The presentations by various people the next day at the rally all seemed to use the same terms and wording. The violent rhetoric. So it did look planned in advance. That they would whip up the audience and send them to the Capitol.

We hear about Gov. Hogan offering the Maryland NG, and being turned away-- and then the secy of the army authorized?
And that at some point Pence (who would have no authority) authorized?

I'm interested because my nephew is in the National Guard (of another state, not involved), and it's always curious how they get deployed. Usually there's no controversy-- they are helping with Covid mitigation, or they are sent to a hurricane zone. But this obviously was particularly conflicted. And the DC Guard is under the president's authority specifically.

Not to mention: two more Democratic senators and at least one more Democratic rep.

13. The Secretary of the Army authorized the use of NG,

even though he doesn't have the official authority to do so. I think it was the Governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, who was calling anyone who would authorize the the use. It took awhile, but the Army Secretary returned his call and gave authorization. People above the Army Secretary in the hierarchy were not returning Hogan's phone calls.

In tent before he spoke was incriminating to me. He had his face plastered to a screen that showed the crowd. Remember thinking.. wow never ever have I seen him that interested in anything or that studious.
