As in the O.J. Simpson case, the verdict in the Trump impeachment trial will be the result of jury nullification. However, the reason for the Senate ignoring the facts and law will be different than the jury in the Simpson case.

In the O.J. Simpson case, the police got caught trying to frame a guilty man. Jury nullification to be sure but understandable. In the Trump impeachment trial, the Defendant is being tried with co-conspirators and political cowards being something close to half of the jury. Of course, there will be no moral justification for the GQP acquitting Trump.
