I happened to be out sick on Jan 6th and on my computer when everything started.

I remember feeling the exact same way that I did on Sept 11, 2001. That our country was under attack, and it was. That in no way could I predict what was going to happen, how it was going to turn out. Our country was under attack by terrorists in 2021 just like in 2001 except this was by our own people and in the heart and act of Democracy. Less people were killed by far thankfully but in a way this stuck a far greater blow to Democracy. Of course this could have been different if the 40 people on flight 93 didn't cause the plane to fall in Pa instead of the capitol. It could of also been different if the traitors on the 6th had found congress. Interesting how in both times Democracy was saved by a few. By 43 people on flight 93 and the LEO in the capitol. Not sure what to think about that. Its horrifying to think we came that close, but its inspiring to know that so few gave so much to save it, and did. In no way do I think that these people were protected or destined or anything like that. Maybe its just a for want of a nail,,,

PS, fuck all republicans for a long damn time.

The Capitol was under attack. I watched on and off for hours, transfixed by the fact that this was really happening. I was watching a reich wing attempt at overthrowing the government right in front of me on tv. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was seeing all the repug lies bout supporting laws and LEO's fall on the ground like the dust they are and be replaced by the truth that they are anti-american white nationalists who care nothing for freedom or liberty or voting, just want to install their favored government by force - killing anyone who stood in their way, including police. Drumpf informed them police wouldn't be armed, so they felt comfortable attacking knowing there would be no retaliation because they were assured of that by their traitorous legislators who helped drumpf implement this.
