Absolutely. Trump's new acting SecDef ordered the National Guard to stand down on Jan 4th.

but Jan. 6 and the DOD refusing to send National Guard when requested made it clear. Remember how many times the MD gov had to request and no response from DOD, and all those restrictions on what they could do?
