Wouldn't it be nice if the Turtle vote to convict?

What has he got to lose? Just got re-elected, probably for the last time. May not like being a minority leader, already accomplished his goals of filling judiciary offices with conservatives...

His Oath to the republican party overrides everything else.

I actually have seen this type of behavior with some former college athletes I know. Even when their alma mater has been sanctioned for heinous events, they will defend it to the bitter end. And college rivalries last a lifetime with some of these guys. The repubs generally, are no different nowadays.

On occasions I visit a local blog where the most active posts are about a certain high school sports. No I don’t read any of them but find the phenomenon amazing.
