My Sister Is Getting Her First Vaccine Shot Today

She's a year younger than me but she signed up a couple of weeks before I did. I'm on two lists now, one from through my HCP & one through the county, so hopefully I'll hear something soon.

We got our first round on Monday (Moderna). Next dose is March 8.

2. I got my second dose of Moderna yesterday afternoon.

I got lucky, a local clinic put on their facebook page that they had some vaccine in early January, to email them and get on their appointment list. I did it immediately, and got one of the appointments. I had been on the state list for a long time to no avail. I feel totally blessed, I know a lot of people who have not been able to get on any list yet. They say 25 percent of over 65 have gotten the vaccine, but in my circle of friends, there are only two of us who have been able to.

I had some side effects from the first shot, but the ones today are a little more severe, a horrible headache and chills. But it is better than getting covid and being put on a ventilator.
