Where They Stand Might Not Be So Rigid

Yes, polls will show we have won before the American audience, and that Trump merits conviction. No doubt.

But the issue of the quality of future governance is real and important, too, and why we -- the public, not necessarily DU -- should press the 'not guilty' group as much as the undecideds.

Of the 44 dismissers of the House prosecution, 20 had their arguments for voting to dismiss the trial -- citizen, former president and already gone" -- demolished by the House yesterday.

Now they'll have to think through some other likely excuse.

Besides them, there remain 13 undecided Republicans. Their remaining day can prior frame bias their reception of the defense. And more talk next week might push them into getting rid of the dark trumpcult cloud once and for all.

So we're talkin' 33 possibles here. Call me naive. BUT.
