I'm sitting here watching the Impeachment managers and wondering

how anyone who is a juror would not find the Terrorist in Chief guilty as charged.
History will not absolve these people. The terrorist in chief does not only need to be banned from every office. He also needs to be in prison for the rest of his life.

It's really no more complicated than that.

We spend way too much time trying to understand their mentality. It's utterly simple - the job is all that matters. It's priority one on a list that has only one priority. Job = money = exposure = power. That's it.

Thu Feb 11, 2021, 04:57 PM
Feb 2021

And thus give other Senators the freedom to vote the same. McConnell just got reelected. In six years, if he even chooses to run again, voters in ruby red Kentucky will have moved on to someone other than Trump, who could very well be bankrupt or in the middle of dementia. At least four Republican Senators are retiring. A McConnell vote to convict could sway them to vote to convict as well. His votes also frees Senators like Collins and Murkowski to vote to convict.

Trump has power with his base, but Republicans can speak the truth about Trump and the election and deny him at least some of his base. The second thing they could do is get rid of Ronna McDaniel and wrest control of the RNC purse strings from Trump. Republicans have options. Perhaps they’re just too lazy to take them.
