"What if this had been a group of Russian paratroopers who landed on the Capitol grounds and were invading the Capitol? Would the president have sat in the White House for three or four hours and not done anything about it? I doubt it," King said.

"Well, you never know. Right," Wallace said.

"Well okay, Chinese paratroopers," King replied.

10. I'd love to know the back story

of how someone so obviously brilliant ended up being a Republican working for the Bush II administration.

Maybe it was a family thing, which is so often the case. Family were Republicans going way back, and someone that smart would certainly end up playing an important role.

But I wonder now if she'll ever go back to working in conservative politics again, or if the absolute cravenness and disloyalty of the GQP over the last five years has been any sort of political epiphany.

7. She is fantastic!

I saw her interview someone I think was a surrogate when her show started up. She’d ask a question and then she’d start looking around the studio, almost distracted and this person would start answering the question and once the crazy started, she instantly - and it was wonderful to watch - INSTANTLY rejoined the conversation and refused to allow that person to continue that statement.

And that’s when Nicolle became Nicolle - she interrupted this guy and then went into a succinct reason detailing why the statement the person pushed was utter nonsense and how she wouldn’t permit this on her show. Then, like a ballerina, she switched to another question.
