They yell to the unseen officer to put away his weapon because they aren't armed. Then one says "pepper spray him"

That second clip hits every note on the looney tune scale and then some.

3. They've realized -- by experience -- that police aren't going to shoot

them since the people who work there have been spirited away. Such "brave" warriors -- and extremely fortunate ones. Officers armed not just with pistols but automatic weapons were ready to mow them down in both the house and senate chambers if they broke in too soon. After, they left Trump's clueless dupes to pee and poop and otherwise vandalize the Capitol until they were moved out, to be arrested later along with the more serious sorts.

I suspect almost all lack the capacity to respect the principles behind this.
