108 million people have had Covid19; 28 mil are Americans. 2.4mil have died; 20.5% were Americans

The disparity between the US having 26% of the world's Covid cases but under 21% of its mortality reflects two realities. First, that under fire from the deadliest health crisis since the 1919 Pandemic, American medical professionals have learned so much about how to attack the virus and protect its victims. But also, it shows that long after much of the developed world has learned to suppress the spread of the virus, the US continues to see surging numbers, 100,000 per day or more, and sustains a subculture of denial that actively works to leave our population vulnerable to this disease and the long term effects it inflicts on its surviving victims.

4% of the world's population, but 26% of its Covid 19 cases. Let that sink in

Three evil people are responsible for it.

Trump, Bolsonaro and Modi.

Everything I've read about India is that it's not getting hit as hard as the worst case guesses had feared. I've not heard anything suggesting that Modi is doing what China has (hiding the spread and numbers of the virus).

The vast majority of those go unreported.

People, for the most part, only seek tests if they have actual symptoms.
