So this trial is going to end with all of Trump's supporters getting thrown under the bus

while he walks away scot free.

I mean, it's obvious to everybody that Trump incited the mob to attack the Capitol. Hundreds of people have been arrested, and many of them are claiming in court that the only reason they were there is because Trump told them to go. There's tons of video of rioters screaming about how they were there on behalf of Trump. He spent months whipping them up into a frenzy and telling them that their country would be gone if they didn't act -- if they didn't fight.

And now, at the end, his defense is that he had nothing to do with it; that sure, he said a bunch of "stuff," but all politicians say "stuff" and people really shouldn't pay any attention to any of it. That all those horrible violent people acted of their own accord and he had no idea this was going to happen.

When Republican Senators vote to acquit him, they'll essentially be saying that poor Donald was also a victim of the violent mob. Nobody could have seen it coming, so give him a break.

And thanks to their efforts, Trump will waltz away with millions of dollars in "stop the steal" money and go live a life of luxury at Mar a Lago, while hundreds of his most dedicated supporters -- who truly believed the lie that they had to act to save their country -- will end up in jail.

What a hero! So much for "I'll never stop fighting for you."

Young men, there's no need to feel down,
I say young men, put that Trump flag in the ground,
I say young men, just cause you're in a new town,
There's no need to feel unhappy,

It's great to be in the M-A-G-A,
It's great to be in the M-A-G-A,
They have everything that you nuts will enjoy,
You can hang out with the Proud Boys,

M-A-G-A, it's great to be in the M-A-G-A.
You can grow a long beard, you can eat a big meal,
You can riot to Stop the Steal!

They are his supporters because they are gullible. Conmen like Trump know how to target the gullible. I have no sympathy for any of them. Some may even learn a lesson from it, though I doubt many of them will. They are so brainwashed that they can't admit to themselves that they were used and abused by their idol.

At least some of them are seeing the light. They'll still be racists and most likely will still vote Republican, (yes, they're that stupid) but they may think twice in supporting someone who is so openly disgusting like him. That's why many on DU have pointed out that the next one will be smarter than Trump and more likely a wolf in sheep's clothing. It won't be as recognizable as it was with him.

He truly is responsible and should be held accountable in some way. I hope the families of the injured and killed sue the hell out of him. They could just shoe the Democrta's video and would win.

He told them to come, and that he would be there with them. Then he doesn’t show up.

He’s the ultimate in cowardice and yet they keep on supporting this coward.

Maybe now these credulous cretins will come to understand the despicable POS used them to further his ambitions, then pretended not to know them. That's always been Trump's MO.

All the evidence the House managers presented with careful attention, the DOJ has a treasure trove to charge Donald Trump with high crimes and misdemeanors that could prove ruinous for the entire Trump family and business empire.

Let the Dominoes fall.
