When all is said and done, it's not going to change the fact that Trump blatantly incited a bloody insurrection and is guilty as hell, even if a bunch of cowardly Republican Senators vote to let him off the hook. And nobody in their right minds (ie. people who don't watch Fox News) will believe that those Republican Senators were swayed by the brilliance of the defense's legal arguments, even if that's what they will claim.

It's just an excuse to get four more hours of Trumpy BS on the airwaves before Trump is finally shuffled off into the history books, where he will remain the only twice-impeached president in U.S. history, and the only one who actively tried to overthrow the U.S. government after losing an election.
