I commend you for enduring and reporting the greatest hits of the shit clown show referred to as the Defense.

I tuned in at the very opening remarks, for about the first 3 words, and shut my tv off right then and cannot bring my self to watch a second more of lies, lies, lies and more lies.

After almost five years (actually 10 to include Birtherism) of that crap and I cannot wait until he and the culture he created is canceled forever and ever. Canceled, Deleted, or rather INCINERATED to the point that the ashes are disintegrated.

None the less, I really appreciate DU members posting updates which I will check in with from time to time.

It reminded me of everything that was awful about the Trump administration — the gaslighting, outright lies, refutation of facts, disregarding the meaning of words and the concept of rhetoric, both-sides-ism, and all of the other Trump repeats.

As a TV production, it is uninteresting and repetitive; it’s not surprising why the Trump show was canceled after one season.

12. When I turned off the tv, I decided it was a good time to run errands

And so I had my radio on forgot that it wasn't on my classical station, it was KGO and they were having a good time poking fun at the defense, but then they played a clip... holy shit. Quickly hit my fm and listened to some Bach instead.

What I heard was puke worth of bs just like you describe.

I experienced my first For Real Full Blown Panic Attack the first few minutes of Nov 3rd election coverage. I had to turn off the tv set and could not bring myself to watch again until a day or so later.

I never experienced a genuine panic attack before that night, and no amount of Brandy and pot could bring me down right away. BP meds I didn't even consider cuz my brain was not functioning well enough to.

But that's how much time he had building up his support.

16. I thought I couldn't be more outraged

than I was during the Bush years. Now I know to never underestimate how low republicans will go. Now I can look back over my adult life and realize that most of our problems as a country were a direct result of republicans and it has only gotten worse over time.

I have two young granddaughters The oldest is 12 1/2 and the other is 10 1/2..

I struggle to find the thoughts to share with them, because they are aware to some degree of what's taken place.

The oldest is particularly politically aware.. I will be spending a little time them both in a few weeks. I want to impart hope and empowerment and all the rest, but when I'm struggling to find it within myself... I fear I wont' find or have the right words or thoughts to share with them.
