This whole event is merely an opportunity for the GOP to figure out how to do this successfully next time, and to ensure they can't be convicted of sedition when they do it. They are attempting to set a bar so high (or low depending how one wants to view it) that they can let a crowd occupy the congress and force an overturn of an election and they will not be charged, much less convicted. They are defending Trump, they are plotting for next time.
