If Trumps Rhetoric didn't incite the mob, why was Trump required to call them off?

He asked them to leave and they left after the damage was done. That is the power that he has over them which should be evidence to prove his guilt.

1. IF he wasn't responsible, why did everyone go to him to beg him to stop them all?

Ivanka and Jared... McConnell... There was a long list of GOPers who tried to get him to call them off. They clearly thought he had the power to do so.

2. the fact that he delayed calling them off alone is enough to convict him.

even if (ha!) he had nothing to do with inciting them (yeah, right) and was completely surprised at the insurrection (that took place at the time and place of his choosing), he knowingly allowed it to continue while people were getting killed, while congressional work was being interrupted, while members of congress were calling on him for help.


if he had nothing to do with it, then it was an outside attack on america and a president should immediately just into action as commender-in-chief, saying america is under attack and i will defend it.

he didn't (because he was on the side of the attackers, of course).

that alone is enough to convict. a president who hesitates to defend america when it's under attack should not be allowed to be president ever again.
