When JFK was shot, Secret Service in Dallas almost immediately informed Secret Service at White House — and that was with relatively primitive technology of 1963. Strains credulity that Trump didn’t know Pence was in danger

danger in the area, and care should be take for the president's safety.

4. That's the best, most obvious reason yet.

If the VP was in danger, the very first thing they would have been done is ensure that the president wasn't. They would have had no way of knowing at that moment if the threat was contained to the Capitol, so it's a near certainty that the WH was contacted.

5. The details are in constant communication

Among other things, the Secret Service has a Joint Operating Center that keeps track of all of its protectees 24-7. If something was happening to the Vice President, it would have been reported and monitored in real time and the Chief of Staff would have been notified and keep apprised minute-by-minute. There is now way Trump didn't know this. Absolutely none.

There's no way the head of Pence's detail did not communicate directly with the head of Trump's detail - in addition to keeping the Joint Operating Center apprised of everything that was happening.
