But Trump has been essentially silenced with the loss of Twitter.
Will his followers keep their slavish dedication without Trump telling them hourly how to think and feel?
Seems to me that Trump without Twitter is a much smaller, distant and insignificant figure who could lose his Toadies if a new shiny object is dangled in front of them.
That would mean the current batch of Rs that hitch their wagons to Trump could be following a dead horse.

The GOP are like drug addicts who know the drugs are slowly killing them, but they are too afraid to go cold turkey. They're too scared to do it themselves, and hope that the Democrats sign them into a recovery clinic.

After all, the majority of the redneck voters are totally beyond redemption. They will simply gravitate to another loud, authoritarian, Republican politician after Trump is gone. And, the few remaining 'moderate Republicans' have no influence within their own party. Meanwhile, some of the more sane, dependable, Republican voters are leaving the party, and a good percentage of the party's possible independent vote is already gone.
In short, the Republican party is currently implementing a bad, long range strategy.
