I agree totally with preserving the historical facts and record. But we need to know EXACTLY what Trump did from the moment his "rally" was over until the last insurrectionist was forced out of the Capitol. That is not a difficult thing to demonstrate, and I bet there are tons of witnesses and records that can show he knew full well about the violent horrors in the Capitol on the afternoon of January 6 and did absolutely nothing about it.

Plus there will be numerous criminal and civil proceedings directly or indirectly involving trump and his henchpeople.

If a Senator votes to acquit after that, they will be toast.

14. Impeachment managers' goal is, and should be, making Repuke Senators pay the price for

voting to acquit. They should ignore whether or not they are able to change their minds and just focus on setting the GrOPers up to lose their next election as penalty for this blind fealty to Trump.
