I just learned today that the senate didn't experience Jan 6 the same way...

... the house did. They were evacuated before the mob arrived. That explains something which seemed a little odd to me. That is, why so many senators said they were moved by the house's videos. That it was emotional. Apparently, for some (a lot??) it was the first time they really saw what happened.
