Certainly not all, he still has power, but he can't even control his own caucus, much less ours.

to tentatively critique strategy. And we certainly don't get it from "influencers" trying to convince us reading their product will fix that.

Frum's a very smart, well connected outsider. He's wondering what Biden would have extorted (nicely, of course, in his gentlemanly "across the aisle" manner ) from McConnell. McConnell can block a lot we want to do, but he also can't get even one little thing he needs passed that Biden and congressional Dems don't all agree to.

But I don’t see why he couldn’t have offered to let it pass later or threatened it. But then I don’t really understand how things work, so there’s that.

I don't know what the best path is regarding witnesses. The MAGATS would never convict their GOD-EMPEROR. Given that fact I saw the trial as an opportunity to dirty them up as much as possible.

This forum should never become a complete echo chamber, but I don’t see how Dems backed down over this.

Calling witnesses was a great idea to everybody until it wasn't. I knew the MAGATS would never convict their GOD EMPEROR so therefore I saw the trial as a vehicle to dirty up Trump and his supporters as much as possible.

He promised to not hold up the stimulus bill if the vote was today. Blocking the bill would prolong passing but the bill would still pass. Now mcconnell has agreed to help move the bill forward with unanimous consent, I think?
