There have been no surprises. No matter how utterly disappointing it is, it *was* a foregone conclusion, but nonetheless, it was the correct move to go forward with this impeachment.
We must now just wait for the wheels of justice to slowly grind forth.
This issue doesn't disappear after today. Hundreds of criminal trials will be progressing against Trump's foot soldiers, and we will be hearing over and over again from those how much culpability Trump had, and, fingers crossed, our new AG will see to it that citizen Trump stands trial.

(3,401 posts)Your home team against the strongest in the country and the chances are slim but you still have hope, make the 600 mile trip, the $400 in ticket prices, knowing it is a long way home after a loss but we do it because we still have hope that the right thing will happen, We still have hope in good things, and that life is fair.
We didnt win, but I have a sense of pride that we tried and our efforts were honorable.
