It just means there weren't enough votes for guilty.
So yeah, he was acquitted.

You can cite all the legalisms you want, but a MAJORITY found him guilty.
If that's "meaningless" then all the stuff we've been saying about Trump losing by 7 million votes is nonsense.
I'm not going to argue it, I've said my piece and you aren't going to convince me otherwise.
