Cassidy surprises me the most

Collins is safe, Romney has stature, Murkowski does her own thing, Burr and Toomey aren’t running again, I think Sasse just won and I don’t think he wants to run in 2026....Cassidy just won too, but I guess he doesn’t plan on running in 2026

Watching his c-span interviews, he seemed to take his role as impartial juror seriously. Kept saying “I’m gonna pay attention to the presentations and listen for facts...they decide on the facts”. Guess that’s what he did.

15% are rational patriotic Americans that simply have a different opinion on the path of how we care for the great experiment called America.

And the other 85% was to try a new experiment.

We’ve lived successfully, arguing and debating with the first group for generations and dine pretty well.

I’m not sure we’re prepared to push back in the second group with the “fight to the death” energy that’s necessary.

So much shit about Trump is going to come out AND he's going to be such a loser and so impotent by then that voting to convict will not be a liability anymore. That's part of what makes so many of these acquittal votes so disgusting. It's not even rational cowardice, it's pointless mindless partisanship.

he will either be dead or in jail by then. Or too tied up in multiple court cases to be a problem. What we do have to worry about are the other heads of the GQP hydra...the Hawleys and Cottons and their ilk. Not so much Cruz...everybody hates him...or Lee, who's pretty much of a hot-headed fool, but those two, who are smart and conniving. And there are some others.
