The seven that voted to convict are slightly redeemed. But they mostly stood by and advanced trump's agenda, which ultimately is their's.
He is the crud in their crucible. Their baby.
ETA: I intend to contact the seven's offices and thank them for standing with justice.

I was trying to decide (in my own head) whether or not he was worse than McCarthy.

(31,261 posts)If McConnell had said that he was voting for conviction, he would have gotten 9 other republican senators to come over with him. But as things were, once McConnell ducked, there was no reason for the fence sitters to stick their necks out.
