So Politico just cares about women so much
and can't abide having someone who bad mouths women on payrolls. Well let's roll the tape so to speak. Ben Shaprio was given the political play book for the day at Politico. Here is just one, of the many things, he has said about women.

Can we get over this idea that women are in somehow real electoral danger in the United States, that we need to pay homage to the suffragettes? It was made part of the United States Constitution like at the beginning of the 20th century that women can vote. We are a century removed from that. Can we get over it a little bit? I'm sorry, Nancy Pelosi wearing white is not -- women constitute the majority of people in college and the people in medical school. Like, can we get over this idea that women -- they're the majority of the workforce in the United States now. Women are not wildly put upon in any systemic level in the United States. It's just bullcrap. And this whole I am woman hear me roar, watch as I wear this white coat and demonstrate suffragettes -- like come on, come on, come on. Dozens of Democratic women will also be wearing white because female power.

BEN SHAPIRO (HOST): Absolute sillineess. And bad for the country by way. When even the stuff that we take a break with, you know, sporting, is turned into this. It's pretty obnoxious. And we're not talking about 1968 in the middle of the Civil Rights Movement with US sprinters on the US national team at the Olympics raising the Black Power fist because American politics are polarized around race in '68. We're not talking about that. We're talking about -- gay marriage is legal across the United States by Supreme Court diktat. We're talking about Megan Rapinoe is getting million dollar contracts specifically because of her sexuality, and because she's a very very good soccer player. But let's not make any mistake, if she was a very good soccer player and she were not a very outspoken lesbian, she would be getting fewer contracts because she's seen as a political figure. She's sort of Colin Kaepernick but with actual talent at her sport.

But we are supposed to believe that the entire reason they made public an off the record conversation between their reporter and a White House deputy Press secretary was all about upholding women. Really? I would bet my next paycheck that this happened often with Trump people and their reporters with nary a word said by them.
Bottom line, the man had to resign. I get that. But spare me the bullshit of Politico's deep and abiding interest in how women are treated. I was born on a Wednesday, not last Wednesday.
