Thanks to all for the ❤️s

I’ve received 14, a fitting number for this day, and more than I have ever received 😊
so thank you all 🙏

It’s been a trying day here on my home front .. got a call from sis to inform me that my oldest relative, my uncle, had passed away in his sleep overnite... he led a very long and prosperous life, he was a pilot in WWII, flying bombing missions in Europe, returning home to fly with a new upstart airline, Piedmont for the rest of his career.
Sadly last month he lost his wife of almost 70 years, when she swiftly succumbed to a brain tumor that had been just recently diagnosed. His next youngest brother, my dad, had told me after seeing him at the funeral that he didn’t think he’d make it much longer, he was 99 after all (100 in Aug) and the loss of his wife hit him hard.
His daughter had been staying with him the past week, and said he’d been carrying on conversations with his deceased wife for several days.
When she helped him to bed Saturday night she said he appeared fine, but tired.
She found him Sunday morning at rest and I supposed gone to join his wife for Valentine’s Day ...
my concern was also for his brother, my dad, now 98 and how he would handle the loss... but he told me when we talked he thought his brother was nearing the end, so was sad but not really shocked by the news, and it was now up to him, as the older brother (the youngest, 88) to try to make it to 100.
I can only wish him my heartiest wishes for his success.
He and I both get our second Pfizer shots soon within days of each other, and I hope to be able to visit him soon after ...

Anyway, thanks for reading, and again, thanks for all the ❤️s
🙏
