Republicans dumbing down their base while making excuses for themselves

Our country is suffering from disinformation and plain old ignorance. We have wack- job Magats that have shown they will attack the Capitol at the direction of one person based on false information. Now, instead of correcting this awful situation, republican senators pretty much have told the criminals that the Constitution condones it.

The average Magat needs to see consequences in order to grow and change. They need hard reality and fact, not excuses or debate that they don't understand.

Mitch McConnel's double speak does nothing to put blame on Trump. He may think he's telling people Trump was to blame, but since there was no conviction the Magats aren't going to hear it. The take away for the Magats is that Trump won, he was "exonerated" in their eyes.

I am so mad at the republicans for putting our country in such a terrible state.

I am beyond angry especially after hearing Portman echo McConnell ... “Trump was guilty but since in my opinion the trial was unconstitutional, I voted to acquit him.” Hey Portman and your ilk ... a vote was taken and it was decided that the trial was constitutional and should proceed! If you disagreed with that you should have abstained from voting !!

And yes all the MAGATs will hear is that trump won twice and the Democrats lost twice. He will be exonerated in their eyes, you bet. The Mighty Donnie.

Republicans have done more damage to our country in the last 4 years than I don’t know ... I really believe it all started with Reagan.

Now if we can just get a certain segment of the population to stop voting against their own self interests ....

The whole time Biden is president they will bitch about every little thing and put roadblocks in his way. They will say the economy is not recovering "fast enough". They will complain about any measures he takes to curb the virus. Even if things improve with the virus they will complain. Some will go as far as to say it was a hoax all along. They will take anything and everything that happens and turn it into a conspiracy like they did with Benghazi. For some reason republicans want to run this country into the ground and expect us all to praise them while they're doing it.

Conservatives once prided themselves on being skeptical and independent-minded. Today's Republicans need to do a lot more thinking and whole lot less believing.
