February 15, 2021 at 7:17 am EST By Taegan Goddard
The end of the Senate impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump sets the stage for his successor to pursue his agenda with a Congress no longer encumbered by the wrenching task of accounting for the storming of the Capitol on Jan. 6, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The reality for President Biden, however, is that in pursuing priorities from pandemic relief to measures to address climate change and infrastructure renewal, he will have a difficult time achieving the bipartisanship the Senate showed in the trial that failed to convict Mr. Trump.
New York Times: As impeachment trial ends, Biden takes center stage with stimulus bill.

(31,620 posts)1. There hasn't been bipartisanship since president Obama took office,
Republicans met right after Obama was elected and vowed to obstruct everything and they haven't changed that policy from what I can see.
President Biden needs to do what he is doing, flood them with his policies, with EO's, rapid fire, one right after the other. President Biden has 2 major policy initiatives he can pass by simple majority. One is the Covid rescue bill and it needs to be passed without being watered down. What president Biden needs to do is keep his caucus in step, fuck the GQP.
I'm guessing the 2nd bill to be passed with a simple majority will be an infrastructure bill. There are so many more items that need addressed, maybe go nuclear?

about how not having R support means Biden isn't "unifying" the country.
