The Governor submitted a request for this declaration on Saturday to assist the State in response efforts related to the storm.

Following days of threats to withhold federal disaster relief from Michigan because Gov. Gretchen Whitmer had been critical of him, President Donald Trump finally announced he approved the funds on Saturday.

12. It's not that he would demand "better treatment" from blue states, which probably happens

a lot more than we realize, in one form or another. To admit it to the press as if it's something to be proud of, or even acceptable, is mind-blowing.
